The Bookworm workstation was inspired by the manner with which a caterpillar eats leaves, and wishes to create the same immediate”hunger for knowledge” in the student, by surrounding him with the workstations and turning him into a “bookworm” instantly. The design process begins with a long rectangular desk which gets multiple “bites” and is then divided to single modular workstations. The workstations offer several options of organization in space and allow for single or group study areas.
